BLACK POWdER

a quality food supplement for horses

Product Details

You are what you eat…

.. goes the old saying.

But that’s not the whole story.

Actually, it only depends on which nutrients the body actually absorbs. After all, what use are the best nutrients, if the organism eliminates them without using them.

This applies not only to humans. This is true for animals as well, such as racehorses especially.

In addition to vitamins, minerals and trace elements, it is mainly proteins, which make up a high quality food. Proteins are one of the main nutrients that the organism needs to maintain the body’s structure and for the production of energy. Proteins are made of amino acids and nitrogen.

Each organism can convert proteins taken in with the food to usable proteins for the body, regardless of whether they are of animal or vegetable origin. To this end, within the digestive process, the body must split the food proteins into individual amino acids and synthesise anew the protein compounds it requires.

Amino acids are the ‘building blocks’ of the body. Besides building cells and repairing tissue, they form antibodies to combat invading bacteria and viruses; they are part of the enzyme and hormonal system; they build nucleoproteins (RNA and DNA); they carry oxygen around the body and participate in muscle activity. Amino acids supply the brain with vital substances and provide the mitochondria, the “power plants” of the body, with the fuels necessary for the production of energy. They also provide the building blocks necessary for the continuous production of new mitochondria. Amino acids are absolutely essential for a wide variety of metabolic processes in every organism and should therefore always be available in optimum quantity and in a balanced composition.

However, splitting the food proteins into individual amino acids within the digestive system requires a lot of energy and achieves only a relatively low yield. The majority of dietary proteins are excreted without being used. This especially applies to horses. And here is our solution:

The main ingredients in our Black Powder product are amino acids already split into processed dipeptides. And namely all 22 known amino acids including the eight essential amino acids, which the body cannot produce but must get through food. And these 22 amino acids are prepared at an optimum mixture ratio for the organism, because the biological quality of dietary protein is not only dependent on the availability of the amino acids contained therein but above all on their distribution.

The ingredients in our Black Powder product are indeed purely organic and contain no synthetic ingredients. In particular, Black Powder contains neither Anabolic Androgenic Steroids nor any known banned stimulants.

It is worth mentioning at this point, that especially horses in race mode, just like athletes, are also dependent on an optimal oxygen supply for sustained performance, in addition to an adequate supply of amino acids And we achieve this with a high proportion of biologically high grade iron in our Black Powder product.

Everything mentioned above relating to proteins and amino acids in general, or specifically to our Black Powder product, incidentally also applies to Dof Active, our product for greyhounds.

Our amino acid concentrate Black Powder for horses can also be usefully complemented by Respolite Horse and Skeletine Horse, our other natural products which are also purely biological.

You’ll often hear ‘experts’ claim that food or feed supplements are totally unnecessary. A supply of high quality food and feed should be quite sufficient. The organism would then receive all the nutrients that it needs.

And when measurable successes are obtained with supplements, which is the case with our products, contemporary critics argue that this could just be the result of a placebo effect.

However, placebo effects are unknown in animals: they only work with humans!
